Das Programm erfasst hierf\u00fcr alle relevanten Stammdaten der Firma und nimmt die laufenden Verbuchungen von anfallenden Abf\u00e4llen vor. Am Jahresende (oder zu jedem gew\u00fcnschten Zeitpunkt) erstellt die Software gesetzlich vorgeschriebene Nachweise sowie vielf\u00e4ltige statistische Auswertungen.<\/p>\n<p>Der IUWA Abfallmanager wurde im Rahmen eines vierj\u00e4hrigen BMBF-Projektes entwickelt (&#8222;Nachhaltigkeitsorientierte Stoffstrommanagementsysteme &#8211; Ans\u00e4tze zur systemad\u00e4quaten Ausgestaltung einer industriellen Stoffkreislaufwirtschaft zwischen innerbetrieblichem Stoffstromcontrolling und \u00fcberregionalem Handlungsrahmen&#8220;; Laufzeit 2002-2006). Das Projekt zielte auf eine m\u00f6glichst engr\u00e4umige und gleichzeitig hochwertige Stoffkreislaufschlie\u00dfung im regionalen Rahmen. Im Projektverbund waren neben dem Institut f\u00fcr Umweltwirtschaftsanalysen Heidelberg (IUWA) e.V. sowie den Universit\u00e4ten Mannheim und Heidelberg mehrere kleine und mittelst\u00e4ndische Industriebetriebe aus dem Rhein-Neckar-Raum und der Region Ulm beteiligt.<\/p>\n<p>\u00dcber die beschriebenen Vorteile der Software auf der betrieblichen Ebene hinaus erm\u00f6glicht die offene Architektur des IUWA Abfallmanagers ein firmen\u00fcbergreifendes Pooling und Benchmarking der firmenindividuellen Abfalldaten, wodurch geeignete Output-Input-Verkn\u00fcpfungen unter den Projektmitgliedern aufgezeigt werden k\u00f6nnen. F\u00fcr Stoffe, die nicht im Projektverbund recycelt werden, k\u00f6nnen auf Basis der Benchmarks die besten Entsorgungskonditionen ermittelt werden.<\/p>\n<p>In mehreren Nachfolgeprojekten wurde die Software internationalisiert und im Rahmen der Auslagerung an die IUWA GmbH weiterentwickelt. Neben der Anpassung an die spezifischen rechtlichen Rahmenbedingungen f\u00fcr \u00d6sterreich und China wurde die Benutzeroberfl\u00e4che komplett von der Datenschicht getrennt.
