Im Zuge der Wiedervereinigung f\u00fchrte die Deutsche Post ein neues, f\u00fcnfstelliges System von Postleitzahlen ein. Neben adressgebundenen, also r\u00e4umlich verorteten Postleitzahlbezirken, existieren eigene Postleitzahlen f\u00fcr Postf\u00e4cher und Gro\u00dfempf\u00e4nger. Im Auftrag des Rechenzentrums der TU Clausthal bzw. des Informationsdienstes Wissenschaft entwickelte OAGIS ein Verfahren, welches die r\u00e4umliche Lokalisierung dieser Postleitzahlen erm\u00f6glicht.
